Campaign craft

Build a sequence of any length that does not feel like one

One letter is rarely enough, and the same nudge repeated is worse than none. Each email should do a different job, however many you send.

The built-in sequence

A new campaign asks how many emails you want and writes a prompt for each. With four you get a first letter, a short reply on the same thread three days later, a new thread four days after that, and a final short note five days on. More emails add more follow-ups, each with a different approved fact. Each has its own length range and send window.

Change anything

Every touch has a prompt you can open and edit, and you can add, remove or reorder steps. People already in the sequence stay in the right place when you remove a step.

Let a reply end it

A real reply stops the sequence for that person straight away. Nobody gets a nudge after they have already answered.

Your checklist

  1. Choose how many emails you want: 3, 6 or 100.
  2. Read each touch's prompt once.
  3. Keep follow-ups shorter than the opener.
  4. Test a change on one step at a time.
